In my ongoing search for Blues music, I can usually track down a club wherever I go—especially in New Orleans. I’m not even sure where I was when I captured this image, but if there’s Blues, I’ll find it. This Digital Painting perfectly illustrates one of my core creative principles: you don’t need the whole scene to make a powerful image. Sometimes, it's what’s implied that speaks the loudest. Here, just the hand, the hat, and a well-lit fragment of the frame tell the whole story—first as a photograph, and now as one of my signature Digital Paintings.
